Artist Terms of Service (Custom Commissions)

These Terms of Service apply to all custom commission work created by The Clover Artist. By commissioning artwork, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Commission Scope

Custom commissions may include digital artwork, card illustrations, physical card alterations, or custom deck projects depending on the commission tier selected.

Each commission is treated as a collaborative creative project. The artist will work with the client to establish the theme, concept, and artistic direction before beginning the artwork.

Turnaround times vary depending on the project scope and will be discussed before work begins.

Payment

All commissions must be paid in full before work begins, unless otherwise arranged in writing.

Prices listed on the commission page represent the base cost of the artwork itself. Additional costs such as sourcing cards, special materials, or shipping may be discussed during the consultation process.

Because commission slots are limited, payment secures your place in the artist’s production queue.

Turnaround Time

Estimated timelines will vary depending on the complexity of the commission.

Typical timelines may include:

• Digital artwork commissions: approximately 1–2 months

• Physical card alters: approximately 1 month after the artist receives the card

• Large projects such as custom decks may require significantly longer production timelines

Delays may occur due to complexity, production requirements, or unforeseen circumstances. Clients will be updated if timelines change.

A specific time line may be given in the consultation that will overwrite any estimation given here.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing clear information regarding the concept, card selection, and references for the project.

If a commission requires physical cards for alteration, the client must either:

• provide the card(s), or

• cover the cost of sourcing the card(s)

The artist is not responsible for delays caused by missing information or delayed shipment of cards.

Revisions/Edits

Small revisions may be discussed during the design phase of the project, before first sketch is approved. However, once the artwork has moved into final production stages, major revisions may not be possible.

Each commission tier has a set amount of allotted edits/revisions after sketches have been approved.

If any requests are made out side of these allotted revisions client may pay $50 per revision to continue making changes.

Revisions and Edits are not complete reworks but small changes to the direction of the original sketch. Total rework costs will be decided on an individual level and may be different for each commission.

Physical alterations cannot be undone once completed.

Refund Policy

Due to the custom nature of commissioned artwork, all commission sales are final once work has begun.

If a project must be canceled before work starts, refunds may be issued at the artist’s discretion.
